Giving Hope, Changing Lives

Thanks to our wonderful and generous donors, NWACC is able to provide over 130 scholarships to students.

Scholarship gifts, whether annual or endowed, represent a commitment to the future of students at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. With 95 percent of NWACC graduates living and working in Northwest Arkansas after completing their coursework, your investment in our students is a direct investment in our community. Scholarships provide deserving students with an opportunity to further their education and grant them the necessary tools to make a better life for themselves and their families.

Annual-funded Scholarships

Annually-funded scholarships, which require a gift from the donor each year, are critical as NWACC strives to offer students a quality, low-cost education. With an annual gift of $1,000 or more, a donor may establish an annually-funded scholarship in their name or in honor or in memory of a loved one.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships are made possible by the generosity of our friends and alumni. As permanent funds, they are critical to NorthWest Arkansas Community College because they generate predictable, growing streams of income in perpetuity. A minimum of $25,000 is required to endow a scholarship and may be given as a one-time gift or pledged over a 5-year period. Endowment funds must be invested for a one-year minimum before any income is available for scholarship support. In accordance with the policy of the NWACC Foundation established by its Board of Directors, a 5 percent administration fee will be assessed on contributions when they are received and administered by the NWACC Foundation.

Scholarship Office

Every year, NWACC's scholarship application cycle is open to students from Dec 1 - March 1, and awards are given during the following academic year. The availability, application type, qualifications and award amounts are subject to change and can vary from academic year to academic year.

Students must be enrolled or will be enrolled at NWACC during the semester(s) for which the scholarship will be awarded, and they must meet all requirements for an NWACC scholarship to qualify to apply.

“I would like to say a huge thank you for your contribution to my education by selecting me as the recipient of the Belle Overstreet Endowed Scholarship. It means the world to me that people I have never met in person, chose to help fund the furthering of my education. I promise to continue with a spirit of excellence in doing so. I will be going to school this coming year full-time to continue my Associates Degree on the path of Graphic Design. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope that you get ten-fold the blessing in return.”
